New Years Day with my 18

We finally had our Christmas together as a family after the blizzard.  It was chaos, but wonderul chaos.  My four year old grandson can read now, so he ripped open his present without the rest of us.  His daddy, my son, scolded him, I came in and hugged him.  He was embarassed and wanted to leave.  Then, given some time, the little ones didn’t understand why they had to wait.  Some were eating, some were playing, some were opeining gifts.  I tried to keep everyone together, but I just gave up, and let it flow.  The best part was when the two year old open her green and pink hippo and hugged and screamed as if she just met a long lost friends, and then, they all went home.  My house is a disaster, but I’m still smiling.
