The NFL Draft 2010 edition arrives later Thursday night with coverage on ESPN starting at 7:30PM EST.  Tonight’s draft is held from Radio City Music Hall in New York City.  Teams are looking to boost their rosters with that next star player with the hopes of getting back to the playoffs, or ultimately winning the next Super Bowl.  In Round 1 of the draft, the St. Louis Ram’s will have the first pick followed by Detroit and then Tampa Bay.  Speculation is that the Rams may go with Sam Bradford out of Oklahoma, who would give them a franchise quarterback.

Other top NFL Draft picks for 2010 could include Gerald McCoy DT (Oklahoma), Ndamukong Suh DT (Nebraska), Russell Okung OT (OK State), Trent Williams OT (Oklahoma) and Eric Berry S (Tenn.).

The first 20 picks of the NFL draft are given to all non-playoff teams, with the exception of trades.  The Super Bowl winning team picks dead last, with the runner-ups picking at #31.  The other playoff teams are 21-30 in the draft order, but again trades may change up that order.

So will it be Oklahoma quarterback Sam Bradford going at the first pick?  Or will the Rams surprise the world and take another choice?  Tune in to ESPN’s coverage of the draft starting tonight at 7:30PM EST.
