In the NFL games today, it will be the Steelers vs. Ravens and Falcons vs. Packers. All four of these pro-football squads will be looking for a huge win, so they can move on to the next round of the playoffs, and potentially earn a trip to the Super Bowl!  The action is set to start at approximately 4:30PM EST.

According to a recent report from, the Pittsburgh Steelers versus Baltimore Ravens matchup is going to feature plenty of hard-hitting action.  Both teams finished the previous NFL season with 12-4 records, so it should be a very competitive game.  Ben Roethlisberger looks to continue his winning ways as Steelers quarterback and put the past behind him.  On the other side, Joe Flacco will look to continue on with his impressive 93.6% quarterback rating and 73.5 completion percentage.  Flacco (pictured via Wikipedia) threw for 265 yards and 2 touchdowns in the recent lopsided win against the Kansas City Chiefs.  The Steelers are hoping that a week of rest will have them mentally prepared for the game.

Later Saturday evening, it’s the NFC taking to the field to settle a game between the Atlanta Falcons and the Green Bay Packers.  The Packers are coming off last weekend’s huge win against the Philadelphia Eagles.  With a 10-6 record they’ll be battling the best of the NFC in the Atlanta Falcons at 13-3.  The Falcons have become a major contender in the wake of the whole Michael Vick incident years back, and now are looking like potential Superbowl contenders.  However, a report from notes that this Packers team is also much improved since the last time they played the Falcons.  Atlanta gets the home field advantage which could be a major boost.

The NFL Games today may have started as of this report.  The Pittsburgh Steelers and Baltimore Ravens will play at 4:30 PM EST, while the Packers and Falcons lock up at 8:00 PM EST.  Check local listings for TV coverage in your area.
