NFL Trade Rumors – Dwayne Bowe to New England Patriots?

May is the worst month for NFL fans as little is happening, but this off-season has seen a number of players taking their contract talks public and that can’t make owners around the league very happy.

Wide receiver Dwayne Bowe of the Kansas City Chiefs is just the latest player to suggest he will not play this upcoming season if a new long-term contract is not on the table before training camp. The Chiefs did put the franchise tag on their star receiver, but players want stability in their money and not just a one-year pay check.

Rumors have started that Kansas City could trade their All-Pro wide out and New England is one team that has surfaced on the list of possible destinations.

These two franchises have a history of making deals and with the Patriots having their own disgruntled veteran receiver in Wes Welker, could a deal between the two happen this summer? Farzin Vousoughian from Bleacher Report suggests the two teams could make a deal happen, but other compensation would need to happen for the Chiefs to trade their best offensive player.

Kansas City did take Jonathan Baldwin in last year’s NFL Draft and the team has a good group at running back, making it even more likely that a deal could happen if this carries over to the team’s locker room in training camp. While no major talks have taken place at this time, it just takes one domino to fall and a deal could happen in a blink of the eye.
