NIH’s Gay Sex Website Taking Fire From Taxpayers Who Unknowingly Funded It

The Obama administration now has the NIH scandal to add to the presidential hot topics to avoid during political speeches this month.

And this scandal is a doosie!

The University of Minnesota takes the place of the “Secret Service Agency” in this multimillion-dollar taxpayer-funded debacle, and its Sexpulse gay sex website effort is front and center.

Cue the Cafe Erotica music.

Under the guise of luring in men who seek other men online for sexual encounters–supposedly to educate them on the dangers of HIV and unprotected sex (they don’t know?)–the website developers went rogue with “pornographic images of homosexual sex” and “risqué interactive features,” according to Fox News.

In other words, it appears the site was more a celebration of homosexual behavior than an advocate to tone it down for safety’s sake.

“We can’t spend money on this. America is broke,” Andrea Lafferty of the Traditional Values Coalition said.

The TVC, by the way, was the whistleblower for this Cartagena-versioned sex experiment. And no doubt they really took issue with one feature of the website, which featured a hopping penis.

Yep. You read that right.

“One interactive feature was an animated penis icon, which would bounce across the screen and offer users ‘amusing rewards’,” Fox reported.

What? A visual porn reward for visiting a taxpayer-funded gay sex website? And just to entice gay men to stay and play online with NIH-funded researchers?

This is where Americans say the government has gone to hell in a handbasket.

The National Institutes for Health gave out grants to fund the Sexpulse gay sex website, according to them, to try and reduce the incidence of HIV in homosexual men, who they say “make up 48 percent of the people living with HIV in the United States,” Fox reported.

What ever happened to mailing out pamphlets or telling the gay kids in school during the sex ed class?

The site amounts to nothing more than advertisements one might expect to see for dirty porn parlors promoting illegal sex activities. And it definitely shouldn’t be operating at taxpayer expense. A taxpayer expense of $5 million to date, in fact, with a total of $7 million expected by the end of 2015.

Tell Obama to send the hopping penis packing and to use those funds for the new programs he wants to create. And tax payers will throw in an ice cream cone for his efforts. America can afford that.
