Recently, I read an article that if you are trying to lose weight, bananas are not a good choice for fruit. I am so sad. I love my potassium bananas. When I was a kid, I ate as many bananas as I could get.
Anyway, bananas are high in carbs and we know carbs are not good, so the thinking is the balance of fiber to carbs is not good for dieting. On the other hand if you are trying to gain weight, bananas would be an excellent choice.
I love a mashed banana with milk. If anyone thinks of a reason a banana split is healthy, I’ll go eat one, now. Long live the banana diet!
