Illegal aliens can finally breathe a sigh of relief! The Emigration Laws passed by Congress have been Obamacized by “special dispensation;” muffled, stifled, bent, folded, spindled, and mutilated beyond recognition! No Problemo! The Chief Executive recently overrode Congress’ standing laws and already lax enforcement.
In that announcement, the Administration proclaimed plans to employ “prosecutorial discretion,” suspending legal action against many of 300,000 aliens, illegally here, facing deportation already… thereby trumping the Judicial Branch as well as the Legislative! Their view is, these detainees don’t “threaten national security or public safety.”
What about “illegal aliens” didn’t they get? It’s a criminal act for these non-citizens to even be here. Bona fide citizens won’t be cut any such election-ploy slack! If they break U.S. laws, it’s “off to prison” for mandatory minimum sentences; no political get-out-of-jail-free cards allowed.
According to NY Times‘ Robert Pear, the Administration confirmed, “those who qualify for relief can apply for permission to work in the United States and will probably receive it.” Talk about “special rights!”
Dismissing these as mostly low-priority cases whom “it makes no sense to expend our enforcement resources” upon, Secretary Janet Napolitano of Homeland Security downplayed the action. But such judgment is not hers, or even the president’s, to make.
What liberties will the Executive Branch take next? Dispatching—by “special dispensation”—the Environmental Protection Agency’s authority? Stripping its mandate to clean and protect domestic air and water, thereby pandering to professional polluters? The U.S. dedicates billions of borrowed dollars to develop Afghanistan, defend its borders… but it “makes no sense” to expend those resources at home?
This Administration has already usurped and cancelled State’s Rights to enforce existing Federal Laws… since the Feds won’t. It’s stoked the fires of continued unemployment for legal citizens and rolled out the welcome mat to more massive waves of illegal aliens who’ll also violate U.S. sovereignty while feeding on U.S. human resources.
As Richard LaMountain, who serves on the board of directors of Oregonians for Immigration Reform, writes, “…the administration scored a dubious trifecta. It undermined respect for, and Americans’ right to implement, U.S. law. Our nation’s stability—and, indeed, sovereignty—is only as strong as the respect its citizens, and citizens of other nations, accord its law.”
That deliberate desecration is the core corruption here. The Administration esteems itself to be “above the law” of the land, Congress and the Judiciary.
“If the governments, who we hire to preserve our rights, don’t respect our laws, why would anyone else?” There seems to be ample disrespect—a whole lot of “dissing”—going on.
