October Rocktober

The title of this photo essay is taken from a popular song with my music students.
It comes from www.musick8.com. I’ll share some of the lyrics.
“Some folks like the springtime, some like summer too
Others like the winter, I tell you that won’t do
Cause I’m a fall guy, I’m an autumn guy, I like orange leaves, See them falling from the sky…”

“October, rocktober, my favorite time of year..”.”

This is the talented Bob Culbertson rocking out on his Chapman Stick (an unusual electric guitar.) I took this shot and the following pictures yesterday while strolling through the Fall Crafts Festival downtown.

Back at home some friends walked by with their dogs. I had to get a picture of them! Open wide…

Haley, a former student of mine gave me a free sample of her Autumn specials. She is in the sixth grade and I shared these delicious treats with my husband. I just love her little flyer.

Don’t worry, I didn’t eat the spider.

Finally, a posed picture of the artichoke from the garden that we didn’t eat.

Wishing you all the joys of Autumn.
