Ohio is under a winter weather advisory, and the Cleveland school closing list is growing as the winter snow storm prepares to batter northern parts of the state.

Just when you think the winter is done dumping snow and ice in the region, another storm muscles up and prepares to bear down on the state.

According to WKYC and affiliate broadcast stations in Ohio, a winter weather advisory is in effect until 3 a.m. Friday morning. According to the weather service, a strong winter snow storm is expected to dump over six inches of snow and ice in the northern parts of Ohio.

The Ohio school closing list in Cleveland and surrounding areas is only one part of the puzzle, as both public and private schools have decided to close in most of the region on Friday. Kids will love the three-day weekend.

This massive storm has prompted many in the region to make preparations for harsh road conditions, power outages, and airport delays.

Even now, the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International airport has canceled over 120 in and outbound flights due to the approaching winter snow storm.
