One Direction’s Harry Styles Doesn’t Like Secrets: He Would Never Lie About a Girlfriend!

Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Liam Payne, Louis Tomlinson and Zayn Malik’s heart-throb looks, not to mention their chart-topping songs, have caused a stir among the young female set, with many squealing over and batting their eyelashes at their favorite boy (or all five). Such status can obviously put the One Direction guys in a strange situation when it comes to their personal lives and romantic relationships. But Styles, for one, is having none of it. He recently revealed he would kiss and tell—no matter what.

“I’ve never lied about having a girlfriend. I think if you lie, people just want to prove you wrong, so you might as well tell the truth,” Styles told Top of the Pops, as Sugarscape reports. “Why let someone else kind of get the dirt when you can just be honest about it anyway?”

File:Harry Styles 2012.jpgIt could certainly be understood if Harry Styles—or any of his British-Irish band mates wanted to keep their romances under wraps—especially since their girlfriends run the risk of being targeted by fanatical Directioners with crazy crushes. Even Styles’ much-older ex, Caroline Flack, was burdened by silly voodoo doll bullying. But, the floppy-haired pop singer with the womanizing, cougar-chasing reputation has obviously learned something about the fame game: It’s perhaps better to control the situation and the message than hide it.

And with Styles reportedly wanting to settle down, stop playing the field and find a girlfriend, it seems he may be sharing some romantic information with the world sooner rather than later. Rumors have recently circulated that he may be cozying up to British model, Cara Delevingne. But apparently the two of them are just calling the “friend” card for now, that is if Styles is really sincere about revealing any lady loves and not keeping his romances a secret.
