One Direction’s Louis Tomlinson could feel a bit of jealousy because of Union J’s—one of The X Factor‘s finalist bands—success on the show, but he prefers to cheer on the boy band instead.

Louis and his One Direction band mates—Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Liam Payne and Zayn Malik—competed on T Louis Tomlinson he X Factor a while back, too, but lost as individual performers. At the suggestion of Simon Cowell, the formed a band, and the rest, as they say, is history.

According to a report from Entertainmentwise, when Louis tuned in to watch The X Factor Sunday night, he was excited to see Union J make it as one of the show’s final twelve contestants.

“Yeyyyyy I really like Union J !!” Louis tweeted to his many Twitter followers.

Louis Tomlinson must have a really big heart. So many boys and young men haven’t grown past their own insecurities enough to lend praise to others in the same business—especially one involving a fan base.

Good for Louis and his support for Union J. Maybe one day he and the rest of his One Direction mates will serve as mentors for this up-and-coming boy band.
