Oprah Winfrey Set to Take on a Movie With Meryl Streep and Sandra Bullock

Have you been wondering what Oprah will be up to after her juggernaut of a daytime talk show is over?  Apparently the answer isn’t lying around on giant piles of money, eating bon bons while painting Gayle’s toenails.  Come on, you know that’s what you were thinking.  The iconic gazillionaire is actually going to hit the big screen with two other female phenoms – Sandra Bullock and Meryl Streep.  Between Winfrey’s influence, Bullock’s year in the press, and Streep’s simple cinematic genius, it’s hard to imagine a bigger dream team when it comes to making movies.  But what’s it about, you might ask?  According to MSN.com, it’s about a home shopping network.  What the what?  Here’s the statement Universal studio released:

The three women will “make their way through the maze of mania that surrounds marketing, marriages and the media…”

The film is being penned by the last Sex and the City film’s screenwriter, Michael Patrick King.  Let’s just hope it doesn’t shtank as much as that one.  The real question is, considering the cast and subject matter, what does one give it as a tag-line?  Three older gals take on hot flashes, men, and the QVC?  Riveting!
