A while back, I was invited by Psst to throw a Pillbury Crescent Party. Although the website was hard to use and their communication left a little to be desired, their party pack was great and we had a great party!
They sent me four coupons for free crescents, a $20 gift card to buy additional ingredients, some recipes, and Crescent/Pizza crust recipe books to give out to guests.
For our party we started with a veggie appetizer pizza made from crescents. It was a great appetizer for a hot day! For our main course we threw some chicken and vegan ribz on the grill.
For dessert we used the Cherry-Cheese Crescent Braid for inspiration. We reduced fresh blueberries and some sugar, and then added some cream cheese for our filling. We wrapped it up like they did in their recipe, and used their recipe for the glaze, using lemon instead of almond extract since I thought that would go better with the blueberries. This dessert was so much of a hit that my husband and I barely got to eat any of it!
All in all it was a great evening and everyone enjoyed seeing some ways to you crescents in something other than just rolls.
Want to try using some new recipes yourself? Leave a comment below telling me what’s your favorite way to use crescents – I’ll choose one winner at the end of the week (June 6th) to receive one of the small recipe books we got at the party (pictured). It has crescent recipes for half of the book, and pizza recipes for the other half!
