A packed crowd at the OC Fair’s Hangar cheered wildly for celebrity chef, Robert Irvine, who performed a cooking demonstration, drew a raffle and invited guests to a live show at the Grove of Anaheim, which will feature premier food tasting.

The cooking demonstration started with making Reuben burgers. Volunteers went on stage to help cook, while Irvine explained some rudimentary techniques and some finer points; that didn’t stop him from showing off his muscles in front of a livid crowd.

His show, “Restaurant: Impossible” is visiting Olean, NY, which didn’t stop shooting until 1 a.m. the previous day. He arrived merely minutes before the live show at the OC Fair and mentioned it was a 6 hour flight, arriving at John Wayne airport from New York.

When asked in the Q&A session how long he’s been cooking, Irvine replied, “I’ve been cooking since I was 11. I’m 47 years old now.” When asked if he bakes, he replied a dejected “No, it’s too scientific.”

Generalists in the kitchen will love and appreciate Irvine’s cooking techniques and methods. He brings passion to cooking in all circumstances amongst any obstacle. His cooking is motivated by creativity and inspiration.

“Restaurant: Impossible” is recorded live where Irvine changes the lives of chefs of different restaurants across America. He goes in without any preconceived notions. What you see is what you get and he is known to shed tears on the show. His emotions and care for the people he works with is one of many reasons his fans and cohort are inspired by him.

If you are already an avid fan of his, the Food Network channel will be airing his wedding on Saturday, August 17 between he and his wife, professional wrestler, Gail Kim.

Be sure to see Robert Irvine again when he returns to Orange County, November 4, to perform a live show at the Grove of Anaheim. Tickets are available at Ticketmaster online.
