A packed crowd at the OC Fair’s Hangar cheered wildly for celebrity chef, Robert Irvine, who performed a cooking demonstration, drew a raffle and invited guests to a live show at the Grove of Anaheim, which will feature premier food tasting.
The cooking demonstration started with making Reuben burgers. Volunteers went on stage to help cook, while Irvine explained some rudimentary techniques and some finer points; that didnâ€™t stop him from showing off his muscles in front of a livid crowd.
His show, â€œRestaurant: Impossibleâ€ is visiting Olean, NY, which didnâ€™t stop shooting until 1 a.m. the previous day. He arrived merely minutes before the live show at the OC Fair and mentioned it was a 6 hour flight, arriving at John Wayne airport from New York.
When asked in the Q&A session how long heâ€™s been cooking, Irvine replied, â€œIâ€™ve been cooking since I was 11. Iâ€™m 47 years old now.â€ When asked if he bakes, he replied a dejected â€œNo, itâ€™s too scientific.â€
