Palin’s Threats about Debt: More Facebook Ramblings?

Are Sarah Palin’s threats about debt just more rambling on her part? They were rather vague, and of course, not at all direct, so definitely done in true Palin fashion.

On her Facebook page, Sarah Palin quoted a letter she issued to Republicans in 2010, saying that they “campaigned on a promise to rein in out-of-control government spending… promises that you must keep.” She added, “P.S. Everyone I talk to still believes in contested primaries.”

Some think that Palin’s threats about debt could mean that she is referring to her plans to run in 2012. Others believe it to mean that she is making a reference to the fact that she will withdraw support for any members of Congress who choose to vote in favor of raising the debt ceiling.

Jim Geraghty, as reported in National Journal, thinks he has Palin’s threats about debt all figured out. He says, “if she were any clearer, they would have woken up with horse’s heads in their beds this morning.” National Journal further says, “for Geraghty, it’s clear she’s asking them to vote against the Boehner bill.”

Anything is possible when it comes to Sarah Palin. She is naturally clear as mud when she is trying to make a point. So, at this time, it is America’s guess what Palin’s threats about debt truly mean.
