Parody #2

Filed in Gather Writing Essential by on April 14, 2011 0 Comments

Here’s a poem by William Carlos Williams:

The Red Wheelbarrow

so much depends

upon

a red wheel

barrow

glazed with rain

water

beside the white

chickens.

It’s complicated to understand, so you can comment on what you think it means. Here’s my parody of it:

Depending

so much depends

upon

a belt full of

explosives

with a dangerous

intent

on the terrorists

waist.

Can you write your own? I’d love to see it! Please post it in the comments section.
