Paul Ciancia charged with murder

Paul Ciancia, the alleged LAX shooter, has been charged with murder. This comes after his arrest after Friday’s highly publicized attack at the international airport. The attack ended in the death of security officer Gerardo Hernandez and four others wounded—but it could have been far worse.

The Daily Telegraph reports that Ciancia was shot four times, but was not killed. He was later charged with commission of violence at an international airport. With modern terrorism laws, it can only be imagined that this man is facing a steep series of troubles. Of course, this charge carries the death penalty as a sentence. Do you think he deserves to die?

The death penalty is a very severe punishment, but what Paul Ciancia is accused of doing is a very severe crime. A man is dead, someone who was employed to protect the international airport from terrorism and other crimes. So it’s very fitting that this punishment be similar to what a cop killer would get. Here’s to seeing if the charge ends in a conviction.
