Today is round one of the PGA Championship and the leaderboard has several of the usual names, and many of those on the top are from the U.S.
While Tiger Woods excited everybody by doing well early, he finished the game tied for 132 on the PGA Championship 2011 leaderboard with a score of 77, which is seven over par. Obviously this is not his big comeback so far. Of course, his place will likely change as everybody plays their rounds of golf.
Those who top the leaderboard right now are Steve Stickler who shot a 63 to be at seven under after round one. John Kelly is in second place at five under followed by Scott Verplank at three under. So far, these three have finished round one, but there are several other players who are still golfing.
Both Shaun Michael and Ryan Palmer appear to be off to good starts, but they have several holes left to play. Both players are currently at three under after just a few holes into their rounds.
Will anybody do better than seven under today and knock Steve Stickler off the top of the PGA Championship 2011 Leaderboard? Maybe, you will have to stay tuned to find out.
