Philadelphia Eagles Rumors – Tavon Austin Now an Option in NFL Draft?

New head coach Chip Kelly wants to add speed and quickness all across the Philadelphia Eagles roster and that has led to rumors that he and the front office are now looking at Tavon Austin with the team’s first round draft choice.

Austin is a do-it-all player with terrific speed and that ability to help in many ways. The former West Virginia wide receiver is perceived as the next Percy Harvin, a player that can play anywhere on offense, but also return kicks on special teams.

The 22-year-old has rocketed up draft boards after a terrific season with the Mountaineers and some great workouts over the past couple of months, but with the defense needing more talent, this pick would surprise most draft experts.

Bleacher Report writer Bryn Swartz has reported that the young wide receiver is one of the top prospects for the Philadelphia Eagles and a player that fits perfect with the new coaching staff, but until the team actually makes their first selection, rumors and speculation will continue to buzz around the internet and have fans in anticipation.
