TWO DOZEN topless woman marched in Maine to protest the fact that a topless woman in public attracts unwanted attention. By the end of the march, there were around 500 people, most were young males taking pictures and staring at the marchers. It is legal for women to be topless in Maine.

Ty MacDowell, 20, organized Saturday’s event and said, “I’m amazed, enraged (at) the fact that there’s a wall of men watching… [it] is not socially acceptable yet [for women to be topless], and obviously there’s going to be a reaction to something that breaks the norm… A lot of people were taking pictures without even asking. Even if you’re somewhere where people are fully clothed, you should ask.

So… why is this MacDowell chick surprised by this kind of reaction from young men? Seriously? MacDowell doesn’t come off as the brightest bulb, she goes topless and, oh no, strangers were taking her picture!!! Oh no!!! Anyhow, looks like her protest backfired into exactly what she was protesting. Pitiful.
