Paula Sladewski, 26, was identified by Miami police Wednesday as the person they previously found burned beyond recognition in a trash bin, CNN reported. No arrests have been made.

Police said the murderer, whoever it is, “is nothing short of a  monster.”

“It’s so horrific. They’d have to be a monster. It’s a dastardly act,” North Miami police spokesman Lt. Neal Cuevas told CNN. “It’s the most heinous thing that a person can do to another person.”

Sladewski’s body was found Sunday night after firefighters were called to extinguish flames in a large trash bin near a propane business.

They saw a body but couldn’t identify it. Dental records were later used to make the positive identification.

Sladewski appeared in a 2003 Playboy video. Around the time of her death, she was vacationing with her boyfriend, who was not identified, in Miami. The two had reportedly gotten into an argument before she disappeared, and the boyfriend reported her missing.

Horrible. This is the kind of activity by either ruthless drug gangs, or serial killers. Thoughts?
