‘Pretty Little Liars’ Recap: ‘Stolen Kisses’ and What’s on Maya’s Website?

One of the biggest Pretty Little Liars season three mysteries is: What happened to Emily (Shay Mitchell) the night Alison’s body was stolen, and what is on Maya’s Website? Both questions got a couple more answers on “Stolen Kisses,” but that’s not all. One of the liars encountered a new foe, while another fought to keep an old foe around.

Did Aria destroy Ezra’s life?
Ezra (Ian Harding) has a past he never told Aria (Lucy Hale) about: his family, including his mom Ms. Diane Fitzgerald (Mary Page Keller), has loads of money. But that’s not why he’s kept his family secret. Rather, as he says, “I wasn’t keeping you away from my family. I was keeping my family away from you.”

Lucy Hale, Ashley Benson, Shay MitchellAfter all, Diane has a lot of qualities that are reminders of A. For one, she knows the answers to all the questions she asks Aria about her relationship with Ezra as well as the Montgomery family. Aria might run away from her and the museum benefit when Diane offers her some “real-world compensations,” but it’s more to do with the idea that Diane implanted in her mind. What if Aria destroyed Ezra’s life? After all, he lost both his jobs because of her. The one question that lingers in her mind isn’t too far-fetched: “Am I destroying everything I touch?”

Will Hanna and Wren hook up?
The latest suggested Pretty Little Liars pairing is an odd one. When Wren (Julian Morris) gets Hanna (Ashley Benson) to testify on Mona’s behalf — all so Mona can stay in Rosewood, rather than be transferred to a higher security place — things go their way. Mona gets to stay, and Hanna is so excited that she kisses Wren on the lips. Is this a sign of more things to come? Probably not much, considering how polar opposite their personalities are, and how much Spencer will most likely hate the idea.

What’s next for Emily and Paige?
Emily is still reeling from Maya’s death, but she’s starting to cope better, in part because she goes to the boat house they once visited together. But this time she’s with Nate (Sterling Sulieman), who continues to make PLL fans question his true motives, like when he randomly shows up at the boat house at night when Emily is there.

Yet, that’s not Emily’s big story on PLL “Stolen Kisses.” Rather, Emily finally goes to talk to Paige (Lindsey Shaw) about the flask and the drugs. She wants to explain and apologize — but Paige doesn’t want to hear it. That’s because Paige realized Emily drank from that flask the night Alison’s body disappeared. It was also the night that she and Emily kissed. Paige feels horrible, thinking she did something so wrong for kissing an Emily who was so obviously drunk.

But Emily is sober now, and she’s realizing something big: She has feelings for Paige, and they share a kiss again. That kiss though, and their hop in the pool, means she misses one big phone call.

What’s on Maya’s Website?
First, Toby (Keegan Allen) threatens that he’s going to find out what’s going on with Spencer (Troian Bellisario), since she still refuses to tell him the truth after she lied for Jason. But that’s really a story for another day.

Rather, the big focus is Caleb (Tyler Blackburn) breaking into Maya’s password-protected site. He knows it’s about Maya, but he doesn’t want to know any more than that. But maybe he should be concerned, because A texts, “Mona’s almost gone. Hanna’s next.” As the computer hacking continues, the girls also get another clue by rifling through Mrs. Hastings’ briefcase: A witness that she wants to destroy. That’s because he saw Maya getting into Garrett’s cop car the night she died.

But again, that’s not the big reveal. Rather, it’s what’s on Maya’s Website: a whole slew of videos Maya took, many of Emily. But then there’s one in which Maya calls herself a coward and claims she needs to face her fears. But then what? PLL “Stolen Kisses” ends so abruptly, and really, nothing big ended up being revealed. At least not yet.

Pretty Little Liars airs on ABC Family Tuesday nights at 8 p.m. Eastern.
