Queen, featuring Adam Lambert as lead singer, will perform in addition to Elton John at a charitable anti-AIDS concert in Kiev, Ukraine this summer. They will sing before the Euro 2012 European Football Championship final. Adam has mentioned the concert several times in recent interviews, however, there has been no official announcement until now.
The Kyiv Post has reported that head of the ANTIAIDS Foundation Olena Pinchuk said at a press conference in Kiev on Thursday, “Elton John and rock band Queen will play to support the fight against AIDS, here, on Independence Square.” The concert will be free of charge, held on June 30 at 8:00pm and will last until midnight on the stage in the fan zone on the Independence Square. The concert will be broadcast live.
Adam Lambert will be joining Queen for five other concerts this summer, including three in London, one in Poland and another in Russia. Many fans are traveling from the around the world to attend these once-in-a-lifetime performances. Will you be there?
