The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills have been a boring season because most of the focus has been on Taylor Armstrong’s crumbling marriage, Camille’s independence and Kim Richards’ issues, which haven’t exactly been made clear. However, the season got interesting on Monday night, when Lisa Vanderpump’s past came walking in the door. Cedric returned in hopes of making up with Lisa, but he was quickly kicked out. Despite only being on the show for a few minutes, fans loved the new drama. In fact, the episode had the highest rating of the entire season with a soaring 12% increase from last week’s episode.

The increase in rating could also have been because of Taylor’s confession to the women that she had been hit by Russell Armstrong. In addition, fans may have been interested in seeing Kim break down in a bathroom, pushing even her long-term boyfriend Ken Blumenfeld aside. It seems that all of the drama of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills crashed on Monday’s episode. And 2.8 million viewers tuned it to see it all go down.

And it shouldn’t be surprising that the viewers were mostly female, ages 18 to 49. The high rating could make it an interesting finale show, not to mention the reunion show which follows in the last week of January and first week of February.

So could Cedric be the reason why the viewer ratings were so high? Or was it Taylor’s confession that had everyone watching?
