Just days after the news broke that Melissa Gorga and her husband had put two of their houses up for sale, rumors began that they only put the houses on the market because they were broke. The story quickly circulated, and before she even read the stories, everyone believed that it was true. Since Teresa Giudice filed for bankruptcy with her husband last year, owing more than $11 million, it could be that bad financing runs in the family and thus, Joe is just as bad as Teresa when it comes to money management.

How much is Melissa Gorga Net WorthBut Melissa has decided to speak out on the story, and she claims that the couple isn’t close to bring broke. She opened up to the Huffington Post earlier today to set the record straight. “The rumors that Joe and I can’t afford our mortgage payments and bills are 100 percent false,” Melissa Gorga explains. Just because they are selling their properties doesn’t mean they are broke. One has to wonder who started that rumor. She continues to give a personal reason as to why they have decided to sell the houses and pack up their lives.

“Since when does selling your house mean you are broke? We moved to Montville to be closer to Teresa [Giudice] and the cousins. We gave Montville a try, but ultimately we want to move back to Franklin Lakes before the kids reach an age where changing schools will have an effect on them. Plus, it’s closer to Joe’s work, and that’s where we see ourselves living in the long run,” she continues. It sounds like the couple moved to be closer to Teresa, but since things aren’t working out between the Gorgas and the Giudices, the family has decided to move back to Franklin Lakes where they feel at home.

In other words, finances has nothing to do with their decision to move. And Melissa claims they aren’t broke. And if Teresa says otherwise, question how she may know what is going on with Melissa and Joe’s finances.
