Some of the stars of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills cast are defending Bravo after controversy exploded over the show’s airing. Since Russell Armstrong (Taylor’s husband) committed suicide, many people believed that the show should have been taken off the air, at least for this season. Adrienne Maloof, Kyle Richards, and Lisa Vanderpump don’t agree with removing the show and they sat down with Ann Curry to discuss why.

“I think that honestly, you know, it’s very difficult in a situation like this. Yes, we shot this six months ago, and I think Bravo has tried to handle this as responsibly and respectively as possible. It is a very difficult situation but the show is not just about them. It’s about six women and their lives. Yes, they are a part of it, but there is also so much going on in the show,” Richards told Curry.

Obviously this situation isn’t an easy one to digest for the Real Housewives or the fans of the show. Bravo was placed in a tough situation, and needed to decide whether or not to air the second season in light of what happened to Russell in recent weeks. However, it does sound like the producers took the feelings of Taylor Armstrong and the rest of the cast in to consideration before deciding to go on.

It seems that all of the Real Housewives are in support of the show airing—even Taylor. Regardless of what critics say, Bravo took the high road and spoke with the cast members—including Taylor—before making their decision to move forward with season two. Do you agree?
