‘Real Housewives’ Star Speaks out on Cast Ruining the Show

Fans of the Bravo franchise were less than impressed when The Real Housewives of Miami hit the small screen last year. The show wasn’t dramatic and it was nothing compared to the veteran shows within the franchise, such as New York, New Jersey or Atlanta. Despite the poor ratings, Bravo producers decided to give the cast a facelift in hopes of getting some drama and one of the stars is now speaking out on why the first season didn’t work. In fact, she thinks that some people from the original cast were holding back the drama to uphold a certain image.

Adriana de Moura, one of the women who were not afraid to share dramatic stories about her life and relationships, points the finger at several cast members from the first season of The Real Housewives of Miami when identifying why the show was a flop. According to her interview with The Miami New Times, there were “two specific people who “ruined” the chemistry of the group.” Cleverly, she didn’t mention names but one could assume it was two of the three booted cast members, Larsa Pippen, Cristy Rice, and Alexia Echevarria.

Perhaps she had something to do with pointing out why the cast didn’t work. Maybe the producers got some inside feedback from the cast members about what worked and what didn’t. “When people are dampers, it’s hard to make things happen. They affected the whole season,” Adriana explains. “We just needed the right elements to make it right. I knew given the right direction, right people and support, it was going to be a home run.”

It will be interesting to see how the new cast pans out. If this upcoming season isn’t a hit, one can assume that Bravo will pull the plug for good.
