Red movie trailer starring Bruce Willis (YouTube video)

It seems lately that Hollywood loves giving life to comic book heroes regardless of how well known they are.  Then again, DC Comics has been putting out most of them lately in an apparent effort to compete with Marvel’s heavyweights (Iron Man, Thor, Avengers).  Just recently, DC Comics rolled out “Jonah Hex” and a movie trailer was unveiled for the Seth Rogen feature “The Green Hornet” in 2011.  Now, Bruce Willis will join the DC Universe as an adaptation of “Red” hits the big screen.  The Red movie trailer recently debuted on YouTube video for mass consumption of the November 2010 film.

In the “Red” 2010 movie Bruce Willis will play a retired CIA agent named Frank Moses.  He’s trying to enjoy the quiet life away from his former high-paced, action-packed CIA days.  However, that becomes tough to enjoy when an assassin shows up trying to kill him.  Frank decides in a desperate attempt to survive he must re-assemble his former special-ops team.  This team includes characters played by Morgan Freeman, John Malkovich and Helen Mirren.  Quite a cast for a lesser known comic book series!

Also starring in this DC Comic book series translation will be Mary Louise Parker, Brian Cox and Richard Dreyfuss.  Red will appear in theaters on October 15, 2010 and most likely can outdo the terribly unsuccessful “Jonah Hex” at the box office.  Then again, doing better than “Jonah” shouldn’t be too hard for Bruce Willis, Morgan Freeman and Helen Mirren.

Check out the official “Red” movie trailer below.  It could be a sleeper hit, or another “Hudson Hawk” for Bruce Willis.  Would this film be one you’d see in the theaters based on its all-star cast?  Are you familiar with the “Red” limited comic book series from DC?
