The Resident Evil video game franchise continues to spawn many big screen films, similar to Tomb Raider. It’s part horror, part science-fiction and part fantasy all rolled into one! Recently a new “Resident Evil Afterlife” movie trailer was released to the internet giving fans a glimpse of the latest installment.
The latest film, “Resident Evil: Afterlife” will be coming to movie theaters everywhere on September 10, 2010. This will be the third sequel and fourth film overall. Once again Mila Jovovich will be in the starring role as the main heroine Alice and her clones. Also returning will be Ali Larter (Heroes) as Claire Redfield. Wentworth Miller of “Prison Break” fame will star as Chris Redfield. This time around though they’ll capitalize on the popular 3D and IMAX 3-D that so many other movies are utilizing.
“Afterlife” is preceded by “Resident Evil” (2002), “Resident Evil: Apocalypse” (2004) and “Resident Evil: Extinction” in 2007. The latest film will focus on the aftermath carryover from the third film “Resident Evil: Extinction” where Alice will search for survivors and face her arch-nemesis, Albert Wesker.
