Revengeseason 2 premieres on Sunday with “Destiny,” and it will show what happens next after the major cliffhangers of season 1. However, the second season will also be leading up to another fatal accident, and the first six minutes are now out, teasing an upcoming death.
Season 2 Episode 1 “Destiny” First Six Minutes Clip
“To believe that a life is meant for a single purpose, one must also believe in a common fate. Father to daughter, brother to sister, mother to child, blood ties can be as unyielding as they are eternal. But it is our bonds of choice that truly light the road we travel. Love versus hatred, loyalty against betrayal. A person’s true destiny can only be revealed at the end of his journey.”
Like season 1, it opens up with a look at a future fatal accident. In Rhode Island on Labor Day weekend, there’s a search party out sweeping the water. Underwater, they find the Amanda, a photo of Jack, Declan, and their father, Jack’s compass, and a body. The man is wearing a wedding ring. This was no accident. Throughout the search scene, Emily’s “Destiny” quote (above) serves as a voiceover. Who dies? Is he the only one? Could someone else (his bride?) be part of this accident since he is wearing a wedding ring? So it’s time to begin guessing who’s on the boat when it goes down. It’s not likely that’s Jack on it. Anything could happen in three months.
After that, the Revenge season 2 premiere preview goes back to three months earlier. Emily’s tied to the pole underwater, Daniel’s getting used to Victoria not being there (and looks over at the house next door after Ashley gives him space), Jack’s spending nights on the boat, and Charlotte’s living sober and wants out in time to honor her mother at an art auction she used to sponsor since she missed her funeral. It’s going to be an intense season, if this preview and the other clips out are anything to go by, and it looks like there will be something to look forward to, no matter which character is your favorite.
