‘Rizzoli & Isles’ Season 3 Episode 6 ‘Money Maker’ Preview: Masks and Murders

“When a rich financier is found stuffed in a trashcan wearing a cloak and mask, Jane and Maura must figure out what happened. Meanwhile, Maura makes a deeper connection with her biological mother, Dr. Hope Davis (guest star Sharon Lawrence), and half-sister, who still doesn’t know Maura is related to them.”

The last episode, “Throwing Down the Gauntlet,” introduced Hope to the show officially. She worked with Maura and Jane on their case, and even though she was right there, Maura couldn’t bring herself to tell Hope she’s her daughter, especially after their conversations. Will that change in this next episode? It certainly looks like it will based on the preview that is out.

The Rizzoli & Isles season 3 episode 6 promo for “Money Maker” (below) begins with details about the case they’re working. After finding the murder victim of the week wearing a mask, Jane and Maura go undercover. That means they too will be wearing masks during the investigation. But this isn’t going to be a fun masquerade ball—unless your idea of one includes gunshots, screams, and a dead body in a pool.

Meanwhile, there’s going to be more from Maura and Hope. Hope isn’t going anywhere. She did move back to Boston, so she’s going to be around, and she wants to get to know Maura—even though she doesn’t know she’s her daughter. However, it looks like that’s going to come out in this episode, as when Hope asks what’s going on, Maura says, “there is something I need to tell you,” and Jane looks shocked in the kitchen. How will that conversation go, especially after previous ones they have had?
