Ted said the bacon was delicious. It tasted like candy. We both agreed it was a good idea to use Turkey Bacon with less fat if he was going to eat it “like candyâ€.Â
Our recipe this week from A Taste of Utica is Roast Bacon
Page 104 is the two ingredient recipe posted by Rainie Piccione
1 Package of your favorite bacon (*I used Turkey Bacon for Ted since he doesn’t eat a lot of regular bacon)
1/4 cup brown sugar (or you can use 100% maple syrup)
Preheat the oven to 400 F. Place the bacon in a single layer on a foil lined cookie sheet. Sprinkle the top with brown sugar or
maple syrup. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes.
I didn’t eat it but it sure did smell delightful. Â
I know this is one batch of cooked bacon that won’t go to waist …ah..I mean waste .
Next week: Crock Pot Roast. *I’m making this one today for Ted’s valentine meal and since we will be in
S.C. next weekend. I’m sure it will be another wonderful Taste of Utica recipe.
