Remember back in the day–circa last month–when Robert Pattinson confessed to crushing big time on Brad Pitt? Well, it seems the Twilight heart-throb has moved on. Yes, RPattz has a new man crush. Angelina Jolie’s baby daddy will now have to take a back seat to Jim Carrey. And no, that’s not a misprint. In a recent interview, the Cosmopolis man revealed his long-time obsession with the Jim Carrey movie The Mask and his obsession with–er–admiration for the rubber faced comedian in general.

Kristen Stewart’s boyfriend is nothing if not full of surprises. When asked in an interview in Cannes to name a movie he feels “passionate about…can’t get enough of…and, you know, watch[es] over and over again,” Rob named three. Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas was an ironic choice since its star, Johnny Depp has twice dissed Rob’s Twilight performances as non-traditional portrayals of a vampire. His second choice, One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest was more understandable. Who didn’t love the classic Ken Kesey novel? And, like him or not, Jack Nicholson is an American original. Last and far from least, on Rob’s list was The Mask.

The Mask,” Pattinson enthused. “When I was younger, I used to, like, memorize every single line. And I’d watch it and just say the lines. I love Jim Carrey! I think he’s amazing. He’s one of the most consistent actors, and people don’t really realize it because he’s a comedian. I think he’s phenomenal. He’s really, really great.”

Looks like Jim Carrey has a really, really famous fan. RPattz went on to gush–er–reveal how much he’d love to work with Carrey, and also with another comedic actor, Eddie Murphy.

You can watch Robert Pattinson talk about his man crush, Jim Carrey, as well as Murray, Depp, Nicholson, Cosmopolis, Twilight, and lots of other things on the video below.
