In a recent video interview, Robert Pattinson painted an amusing but also somewhat disturbing portrait of what a typical family Christmas is like for him and his relatives. The holiday consists of arguing constantly and falling asleep—probably from nervous exhaustion—by 3:00 p.m. Ouch.
As you can see on the video below, Pattinson joined his fellow Twilight Saga actors Taylor Lautner and Nikki Reed as well as a slew of other celebrities to describe a traditional Christmas at their family’s house. Good grief. Sounds like post-holiday show-and-tell in elementary school.
Anyhow, Lautner dished on the joys of reuniting with family members back in Michigan. And Nikki Reed gushed about the joy of having been “pulled into” her husband Paul’s family’s Christmas traditions.
Awwww. How sweet.
Alas, RPattz, not so much.
When asked to describe his family’s Christmas tradition, Rob laughingly but rather nervously detailed what sounded like a South Park family Christmas.
“Having a big argument with everyone in my family,” mused the Breaking Dawn star, “and then falling sleep at three o’clock in the afternoon. And not even opening any presents. Just falling asleep. It’s a disaster by three—every year.”
Yikes. If that’s what Robert Pattinson’s Christmas tradition is really like, maybe Kristen Stewart is lucky she wasn’t invited this year. Especially since she’s probably one of the things Rob and his family would fight about.
