Robert Pattinson Talks Loving Kristen Stewart and Wanting Sons

In two recently unearthed interviews, Robert Pattinson talked openly and honestly about his great love for Kristen Stewart. He also talked about having children someday, preferably boys. Both interviews were originally done at the Cannes Film Festival which he and KStew attended—Rob for Cosmopolis and Kristen for On The Road. Then a couple of months later, the Rupert Sanders cheating scandal turned Robsten’s world (and the media’s) topsy-turvy. The question is, now that Robsten has reconciled, would Rob’s obviously heartfelt responses to such personal questions be the same if he were interviewed today? And even though he might be more hesitant now to express himself, does he still feel the same in his heart?

When asked if he, like his Twilight character, Edward Cullen, was partial to ” “strong women,” Pattinson explained that he “was raised in a house full of women, who are all very strong… if you only have sisters and you are the smallest, you’ll always end in minority.”

That rather odd question and his wonderfully non-sexist reply segued nicely into his description of his feelings for Kristen Stewart.

“We went out last night and we are going out tonight as well,” Rob revealed. “I cant wait… She is amazing, ambitious, ready to grasp life. She has an attitude; she doesn’t kiss people’s asses; she is respected. I would die for Kristen. Yesterday I was watching her movie and felt so proud.”

Yikes. Spoken like a man who is truly in love. Or at least like a man who truly knows his fan base. Later, Rob revealed that he was developing a new script so that he and KStew might be able to work together in another film.

“It will be difficult,” he mused, “and it will have to be far ahead in the future because many people will not like it. But I do not care. I want her. She is mine”.

Wow. What else is there to say?

In a second Cannes interview, Pattinson dished about the possibility of having a family someday. And naturally, the question arose about which he’d prefer to have first—a boy or a girl?

“I think that I’d have a better understanding with a boy,” Rob admitted. “Girls are hard to understand. The instruction manual that comes with them is 800 pages long and written in Chinese! And if you know how to read it, you realise that you’re still missing 32 more chapters that are essential and you have to improvise. Whereas with a boy, it’s easy. Sports, tv, a video game, a big bowl of …, some Coke and he’s happy.”

So, there you have it. It has been suggested on the Robert Pattinson fan sites that these interviews are bogus—especially the one where he proclaims his undying love and devotion for La Stewart. But what do you think? And how do you think he would answer the same questions today?
