On April 7 , Robert Pattinson threw Kristen Stewart a sort of pre-birthday party at the L.A. hipster bar, Harvard and Stone. Since then, new details have emerged about how they partied, what they wore, and their PDA or lack thereof.
Kristen Stewart’s actual birthday is April 9. That’s when the Breaking Dawn heroine will turn the big 2-2. However, RPattz, ever the iconoclast, took his lady-love out for a hot night on the town 2 days early. Cool. Although Rob’s plans for KStew’s actual big day remain unknown, on Saturday night, he rounded up 15 of their BFFs and the group invaded Harvard and Stone where “they had lots of drinks on the top floor and took in a burlesque show.” Sounds hot. Rob once reportedly took his father to a strip/sex club in Germany. Looks like he’s making celebrating in erotic environments something of a tradition. And it seems he chose the perfect place for Kristen’s pre-birthday outing–a place where the uber-famous but low-key couple could relax and enjoy just being themselves with their friends.
“It is a really small, very cool hidden spot so no one paid any mind to them or seemed to notice,” is how an eyewitness described the club. “I saw them as they came down to exit … I was leaving at the same time. Rob was rounding the group up and Kristen went first with friends and Rob followed.”
According to the onlooker, Kristen Stewart was “dressed down” which has come to be her signature style. The Snow White and the Huntsman star was casually clad in a black leather jacket and hoodie with skinny jeans. Rob was reportedly in grunge mode, wearing an “Adidas shirt and a full-grown beard.”
The Harvard and Stone bar features a house band and a deejay. And although the deejay played a panoply of classic hits from the 50s and 60s, Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart never set foot on the dance floor. That was smart. That’s probably why no one seemed to realize they were even in the club, and they were able to celebrate KStew’s birthday in a quiet, private, low-key manner. You know, like normal people.

Happy Birthday, KStew.
