In the Robyn Gardner missing persons case, the prime suspect in her disappearance–Gary Giordano–was released from jail in Aruba on Tuesday. Gardner has been missing since August 2. She was traveling in Aruba with Giordano.

According to People.com, Giordano claimed that Gardner never returned from a snorkeling trip the two had taken together. He has been detained since shortly after her disappearance while authorities investigated the case.

Does this sound awfully familiar to you? Is it possible that the police in Aruba have botched yet another missing persons case? Many people believe their inadequate investigation led to Joran van der Sloot going free after the disappearance of Natalee Holloway several years back. He wound up murdering a young woman in Peru and is now incarcerated and awaiting trial. Natalee Holloway was on her high school graduation trip, and was never found.

Will that case repeat itself in the Robyn Gardner case? Will Gary Giordano wind up connected to some other woman who just mysteriously disappears in a few weeks, months or years? Will RoHelp Find Robyn Colson - Gardner : Missing in Arubabyn Gardner ever be found?

Authorities in Aruba insist that this isn’t the end of the Robyn Gardner case. The judge simply claimed he had no further cause to detain Gary Giordano. The case is still being investigated.

“The case does not end here. Mr. Giordano will remain our prime suspect,” Aruba’s Solicitor General Taco Stein told the press.

Just a few days ago divers searched an area in Aruba near where Robyn Gardner was last seen alive. In the meantime, however, this 35-year-old woman hasn’t been seen in nearly four months and the main suspect in her disappearance has just walked free.

Do you think Robyn Gardner will ever be found? Did Gary Giordano kill her? And does this case and the way it’s been investigated remind you at all of the Natalee Holloway case?
