Royal Wedding 2011 Date: Kate Middleton Gets Advice From India Hicks

The Royal Wedding 2011 date continues to approach for Kate Middleton, she is getting all sorts of advice and guidance for the big day. The most recent advice comes from a former bridesmaid for Princess Diana, India Hicks, who is also a second cousin to Prince Charles of Wales.

Hicks currently works as a fine jewelry designer in addition to her role as creative partner with Crabtree & Evelyn.  She’ll be hosting a special on TLC this coming Sunday called “Untold Stories of a Royal Bridesmaid.”  Since India Hicks was on hand as a bridemsaid back in 1981 for the wedding of Princess Diana and Prince Charles, she knows how difficult it can be for a young royal couple, especially the bride.

So what does India Hicks say of the upcoming William and Kate wedding ceremony?  She has some great advice that hopefully the future wife of the Prince of Wales takes into account.  Hicks told PEOPLE:

“It’s an incredibly difficult role that she is going to be taking on. What will be particularly difficult is finding the balance. The world will be sharing that day with her, yet she must bear in mind that it is her wedding day. Kate must enjoy it intimately with her family and with the man she loves and will spend the rest of her life with.”

Hicks also adds that Kate and William will need to work as a “bonded team.”  The reason for this is due to the immense pressure of marriage.  While it’s a joyous day, it can be nerve-racking and stressful.  It’s tough enough to get married, but imagine the pressure of doing so with so many in attendance including family and friends, as well as billions around the world watching on TV.

Will you be watching the Royal Wedding 2011 when Kate and William tie the knot?  Do you think there is too much pressure being put on such a young couple, or is it part of the deal?
