The murdered body of Saavni Venna (also Saanvi Venna) was found today, bringing a tragic end to the nearly week-long search for the 10-month-old infant. Ragunandan Yandamuri, a friend of the child’s family, was arrested not long after the discovery of the child’s body.

Ten-month-old Saanvi Venna was found in a sauna bathroom in the basement of the apartment complex in which her family resides. It was at around 4:30 a.m., Friday morning Yandmuri was charged with murder, kidnapping, robbery, burglary, theft and abuse of a corpse. He allegedly murdered the child’s grandmother before abducting her and murdering her later.

The child’s alleged killer aided in the search for her. He helped print out flyers and handed them out as well. He “made himself available” to the mourning family as they searched for the child that police believe he kidnapped. Baby Saavni Venna didn’t get to make it to her first birthday because of a monster, and now justice will hopefully be served.
