Saavni Venna Update: Will Increasing Reward Bring Baby Home?

Filed in Gather News Channel by on October 25, 2012 0 Comments

Missing baby Saavni Venna (or Saanvi Venna) is still missing, but there is at least one update in this tragic case. The reward offered in the abducted child’s case has now risen from $30,000 to $50,000 — an astounding amount for only the first week of a disappearance. The seriousness of this kidnapping can’t be stressed enough. This child could very well be anywhere, even out of the state of Pennsylvania where her kidnapping took place.

On Monday the grandmother of the missing infant was found murdered in her home. It was made quickly apparent that 10-month-old Saavni Venna had been abducted in the course of the murder. The elder woman’s cause of death hasn’t yet been revealed, nor have any other potential pieces of evidence that may lead to speculation in this case.

Hopefully the $50,000 reward lends in some positive resolution in this case. With each day that passes, however, the chances of finding the missing infant become slimmer and slimmer.
