The week 5 SEC schedule has some great games to offer. The SEC schedule and scores definitely predict a shake-up in the college football rankings by the end of next weekend. There are seven games that include South Eastern Conference teams, and several of them will receive top billing from the television networks on Saturday, Oct. 1.
The schedule begins at 12 pm ET with No. 14 Texas A&M vs. No. 18 Arkansas on ESPN. The Razorbacks has a tough non-conference game that could bring a lot of votes if Arkansas can pull off an upset. At the same time the Mississippi State vs. Georgia game will kick off further south.
At 12:21 pm ET (on ESPN3), Kentucky will head to pay a tough LSU team that is now ranked No. 1 in the country. That will be followed at 12:30 pm ET by Buffalo vs. Tennessee in a game that the Volunteers should win easily. This first group of games might pale in competitiveness to how the SEC wraps up the day though.
At 3:30 pm ET on CBS, No. 10 South Carolina will host the defending national champion (Auburn). South Carolina is still undefeated at 4-0, but this is going to be a tough game against the Tigers. That’s why CBS will be covering it live. After that, at 8 pm ET, CBS will present the Alabama vs. Florida game in primetime. The No. 3 Crimson Tide will have a tough task in playing the No. 12 Gators on the road, so this should be a very interesting game.
The final game of the night for the conference will have Ole Miss travel to Fresno State at 9:15 pm ET on ESPN2. This one if probably only going to be exciting for fans of the two teams involved in it, but Mississippi could still use another non-conference victory.
Which of the games on the week 5 SEC schedule are you most excited about watching? Do you think Florida or Auburn can pull off upsets?
