Selena Gomez Offers Love Advice

Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber seem stronger than ever, as a couple. He tweets his love often, and plies her with gifts, but is Selena really the driving force? Selena likes to make relationships work. The singer, 19, “always” tries, she says, to give people she loves a second chance. But she has learned one important thing: It’s not possible to change people, she shares and Contact Music reports. You have to accept them the way they are.

“I believe in second chances, but I don’t believe in third or fourth chances. I love talking through things and always want to make things work if I really love someone.” Selena Gomez goes on, “But if they can’t fix whatever is wrongFile:Selena Gomez 2009.jpg, they’re probably not going to change for anybody. You can’t change a person, so sometimes you have to move on.”

This sounds like general advice, not specific to Justin Bieber. In fact, it sounds more like warnings Katy Perry or Heidi Klum or Demi Moore might give—forgive at least once, but then think for yourself. No one has accused Justin Bieber of heavy relationship crimes—well, ok, one woman did, but her accusation did not pan out. At least, Selena Gomez has nothing fans know of to forgive Justin Bieber for. Or does she?

This could all be referring to her first love, currently unnamed. “When I went through my first break-up I thought it was the end of the world…I cried and screamed and called my friends in the middle of the night.” But then, she says, “Just remember that every day gets better.” For Selena Gomez, these days look pretty good.
