Selena Gomez will play the role of the undead daughter of hotel owner Dracula in the animated flick Hotel Transylvania. Some folks think she’s a shoe-in for the role.

According to a report from BSCKids, Selena is replacing Miley Cyrus after she stepped down from the role. Her name in the film is Mavis, and she is beautiful. Of course the undead never age, so she will remain that way forever.

GOMEZ SELENAWhen a human boy comes to visit the hotel he develops a major crush on Mavis, and not even Dracula can scare him away. The animated film is cute, playful, and filled with twists and turns.

Sources feel that Selena is perfect for the role because of her current high profile within both the film and music industry. And of course the fact that she is Justin Bieber’s girlfriend is quite helpful, too. As with most animated films, there will no doubt be a plethora of toys released as promos, and that should perfectly fit within the realm of many of Selena Gomez’s very young fans.

Selena is one very busy girl these days. In addition to playing the animated role of Mavis in Hotel Transylvania, she is currently filming Spring Breakers, in which she plays the role of a college girl who engages in lots of activities that Selena doesn’t engage in—drinking, crime, and who knows what else? It certainly sounds like fans will get to see many sides of Selena in her upcoming films.

Hopefully with all this work she’s doing, Selena Gomez can fit it some down time to spend with Justin Bieber, who just turned 18 this past week. Although Selena missed his actual birthday, rumor has it she flew to L.A. for the weekend to wish him a proper happy birthday.

Are you excited about seeing Selena in Hotel Transylvania or Spring Breakers? Maybe both?
