Selena Gomez is getting lots of support since her split from Justin Bieber. Some of it came this weekend via Twitter from Demi Lovato.

According to a report from Hollywood Life, Demi and Selena go way back. Both were child stars on the Disney Channel and they even lived together, along with their moms, when the girls first moved to Hollywood.

Demi felt in light of Selena’s very public break up from Justin Bieber that she needed all the support she could get–so she offered some up herself.

Selena Gomez and Demi Lovato Official“When you resent someone, pray for only good things to happen to them,” was the first tweet Demi sent to Selena.

That’s really good and thoughtful advice. That tweet was followed almost immediately by another one.

“When you are in the dumps, look around at all the things you have to be thankful for,” she tweeted.

It didn’t stop there either.

“When you start to beat yourself up, remind yourself of how worthy you are of love,” Demi wrote to Selena.

And finally she sent one last tweet.

“Sometimes we’re gonna have our bad days, but we must continue to work to be great.. Keep smiling. It looks beautiful on you!! :)”

Even though Selena Gomez and Demi Lovato haven’t been in close touch recently–Demi is busy judging The X Factor and Selena has been busy in the recording studio and both starring in and producing the Wizards of Waverly Place reunion movie–they have never been far from each other’s hearts and minds. These tweets of support show that friends don’t always have to be next door or ready to head out for a bite to eat or a movie. They can be miles and miles away and still share their love and support when you need it most.

Selena is blessed to have a friend like Demi Lovato in her life.
