Selena Gomez Talks ‘Fifty Shades of Grey': Should It Star Her and Justin Bieber?

Selena Gomez and her boyfriend, Justin Bieber, certainly share a love connection and plenty of PDA—from extravagant to romantically simple rendezvous to Twitter posts and Instagram pics, not to mention probably tons of other not-so-public moments of affection. In fact, the couple just recently reunited in Toronto, Canada, over the weekend, where the “Baby” singer took his main girl on a helicopter ride. But, despite Gomez’s rather dreamy romance thus far with the Biebs, she’s apparently not ready to act on anything too steamy on-screen.

So don’t expect her to embrace her inner Anastasia Steele and star in the film adaptation of E.L. James’ provocative book, Fifty Shades of Grey!

Gomez, 19, may have already “been there, done that” in her parody of the risqué read. But the skit is as far as it goes for this starlet. “I know I’m taking risks, but I don’t think I could do that,” she admitted of the Steele role, as Celebuzz reports. “That would be a little too much for me.” She later added, “Someone older should do that part.”

The Disney darling just wrapped a rather daring role in Spring Breakers, where the bikinis, bottles, and break-the-law moments were certainly pretty far from her Wizards of Waverly Place days! And she’s also been working on action flick The Getaway.

Fifty Shades is just one shade too far for Selena Gomez. “Spicy” is the operative word she actually used to describe James’ racy tome, but she also thought it was “intriguing.” However, Jelena and Fifty Shades fans would no doubt jump at the chance to see her and Justin Bieber star in the movie version of the provocative read. They’ll have to settle for some of the other hot topics in the running, though—and the list is apparently quite long, with everyone from Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson to Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder and beyond.
