Selena Gomez’s ‘Brother’ Dishes on Their Relationship and Her Romance with Justin Bieber

In a recent interview, Selena Gomez’s on-screen brother, Jake T. Austin, talked about his days on the Wizards of Waverly Place and the warm relationships he developed with La Gomez and the rest of the cast. He also gave his opinion of her romance with Justin Bieber.

Selenators will surely remember Jake who played Selena’s younger brother on her long running Disney T.V. series, The Wizards of Waverly Place. The show has just received an Emmy nomination in the Outstanding Children’s program category for the fourth year in a row. Although Jake admits he hasn’t talked to La Gomez about the nomination yet, he’s sure she’s happy. Although he doesn’t get to see her as much as he’d liked due to both their busy schedules, he feels they’ll “always keep in contact and be a part of each other’s lives.”

As for his real-life relationship with Justin Bieber’s lady-love, it’s still really close, just like his relationships with all his former cast mates. In fact, Austin claims his relationships with the Wizards cast members are all pretty much equal. Although he admits that some cast members “get along more than others,” he believes all his friends from that period in his life are “pretty much on the same page…still talking but doing their own thing.”

That’s certainly true. Right now, Selena Gomez is travelling in Asia, Australia, and New Zealand with her boyfriend, Justin Bieber. So how does Jake feel about his friend’s highly publicized and relentlessly scrutinized romance with the mega pop star of the age.

“Haha, I don’t know,” Jake laughed when asked his opinion of the Jelena. “I’m not a matchmaker. They’re both over 18, so they can do what they want!”

Well, that’s a very diplomatic answer. Was Jake simply being polite, or is he really as non-opinionated as he seems?

What do you think?
