Sex Cameraman Thinks Filming Rape ‘Fun’ and ‘a Joke’

Justin Bieber and a sex cameraman both seem to think that “boys will be boys” when it comes to behavior that others find shocking or repulsive. But while Bieber was released on bond in Miami today for his three misdemeanor crimes of drag racing, speeding, and resisting police arrest, a New Zealand 18-year-old now has a curfew, must perform 150 hours of community service, and pay $5,000 in restitution to a girl he videotaped while two of his friends allegedly raped her.

The New Zealand teen sex cameraman thought filming his two friends from the New Plymouth Boys School while they had sex with a drunk girl at a party would be fun and a joke. The laugh is on him, instead, but maybe not quite enough, since he will not be doing any jail time for it.

The two teen males who are alleged to have raped the 17-year-old female victim didn’t ask him to film them as they took advantage of the girl. But he did, and he put three videos of the event up on Facebook afterward, which means he must not have ever heard about the Steubenville rape case in the States at all, or he would have known better.

This teen and his friends’ horrible actions make Bieber’s arrest seem like a schoolboy prank, but neither teen’s actions should be condoned. And while Justin Bieber waved to fans unashamedly upon his jail release, neither he nor Jack Greenslade, the New Zealand cameraman should be proud of what they have done.
