It appears that actors Shahrukh Khan and Aishwarya Rai might be reunited as co-stars again! This time around it will be for a Bollywood remake of the Tamil blockbuster Ramana.
Previously, Aishwarya and SRK were co-stars in Devdas, a 2002 film based on a novella. The film ended up winning a variety of awards including ten Filmfare Awards and five National Awards. To top things off, Time Magazine named it the best movie of 2002, worldwide. Is it possible that these two could do it again?
In a recent article, Bollywood Life is reporting that there’s a possibility Aishwarya Rai and Shahrukh will team up again. The newest project comes from Ghajini director AR Murugadoss and will be a remake of Ramana. The film will be produced by Sanjay Leela Bhansali and will feature SRK playing the role of a man fighting against corruption after a personal tragedy occurs.
If this all goes according to plans and the filmmakers can get Aishwarya Rai to co-star with SRK, they could have a Bollywood blockbuster on their hands. It was achieved before with Devdas, and with all the fervor over Aishwarya getting back to business and acting, seeing her name alongside Shahrukh’s would be a major draw.
Do you think Aishwarya Rai will end up as part of this project, or will SRK have a different co-star?
