Snowboard Men's Halfpipe - Day 6

Shaun White clenched the gold medal win in the men’s halfpipe competition Wed. night at the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympics.  Watch Shaun perform video.

Shaun’s unbeatable performance took him far into the lead the first run, no competitor came close to touching his score of 46.8 points.  He was the last competitor to take on the halfpipe in both runs.  Shaun’s gold title came as a victory right before his second performance run as no other competitor beat his original score.

Second run was a victory lap for Shaun, showing off his incredible snowboarding skills and techniques down the halfpipe.  He gave what his fans yearned for during his victory lap, high demanding twisting, spiriling, Double McTwist 1260!!  Unbelievable sight to see! Ending score of 48.4 points!

Shaun and his coach had made a bet before the competition – If Shaun wins Gold, they have to get matching tattoos!…..What it will be is yet to be revealed!

Scotty Lago – Bronze 42.8 United States
