Skyrim: Dawnguard to Be Followed by Hearthfire DLC Release Date for Xbox 360

It looks like Skyrim: Dawnguard release date is still looming for PS3 gamers, who are already frustrated over the Bethesda company’s delay in unveiling it for their video game platform. Now to add more fuel to their fire, it also looks like Xbox 360 owners may get the chance to own the Hearthfire DLC before PlayStation 3 owners do.

Elder Scrolls V: SkyrimThe Skyrim add-on Dawnguard was the first-ever downloadable add-on for the Elder Scrolls V title. It was made available for Xbox 360 users on June 26th, 2012 in English-speaking territories. It later found its way to other countries by mid-July, and onto PCs by August 2nd. However, Sony PS3 users have been ostracized so far, with no news of an official release date for when they can acquire the Dawnguard add-on. To add to that, it looks like PS3 users may also learn of Xbox 360 users getting to use another add-on before they can.

According to Product-Reviews.net, an official DLC description for Hearthfire has been posted on the Reddit website. It notes that in this new addition for Skyrim, Xbox 360 gamers will be able to buy land and create their own buildings. There’s also said to be massive customizations available such as an alchemy laboratory and a complete armory. That’s great news for Xbox 360 users, but how about PS3 users?

The website says that after collecting comments from readers, one comment in particular proposed an interesting idea. Why not have Bethesda provide Skyrim: Dawnguard free to Sony PS3 owners for having to wait this extra amount of time? One reason mentioned that this might not fly is that Xbox owners already shelled out $20 for their copies. However, it seems at this point Bethesda needs to figure out some way to keep their PS3 gamers happy, rather than having them revolt against the company and future titles.
